Communication
As future leaders of the United States Air Force and as current members of Arnold Air Society, we have a responsibility to better ourselves. It takes the initiative and actions of all members in order for the society to take steps in the right direction. More stress and emphasis needs to be placed on improving the communication on all levels from national staff to individual members. I am confident that each squadron has outstanding and beneficial ideas to share nationwide if the appropriate means of communication are available. I intend to use all technologies possible to enhance camaraderie and communications between squadrons. This includes using webcams for conference calls, as bi-monthly check ups to see that every question is answered and every idea is brought to the attention of the National Headquarters so it can be filtered down to the rest of the nation.
Standardization
Student organizations, like Arnold Air Society, are much like businesses in the aspect that in order for a smooth and efficient operation you must have a standardized and structured system for carrying out even the most minute task. For future Information Managers it is my intent to standardize a “minutes” sheet for all squadrons to better document upcoming agendas and active participation. This will enhance the cohesiveness within squadrons by allowing all members to be kept up to date on activities and future agendas. As National Director of Information Management, I will make sure that more ideas, such as the minute sheets, are developed and put into place throughout the society.
Stability
With so many squadrons it is imperative that structure and responsibilities are maintained and fulfilled. To strengthen the stability I propose the enforcement of performance evaluation sheets as a tool to enhance the performance and development of Arnold Air. The Air Force currently enforces these assessments and for good reason, these allow supervisors to give feedback in order to provide the opportunity for growth and development. I believe we can use the Air Forces current evaluation forms as a guide to develop our own sheets that will meet the needs of Arnold Air Society.
