AFROTC Affairs Committee
The AFROTC Affairs Committee (AAC) is an outstanding program that allows members of Air Force ROTC the opportunity to voice their opinions and make changes to AFROTC. Awareness of AAC has always been an issue, so it is a top priority of mine to take this program to new heights. I plan on rebuilding the entire program to increase awareness and ease of reporting, and I want to extend AAC to all of AFROTC through AAS liaisons.
Joint Relations
Maintaining positive relations with our affiliate organizations is at the heart of Arnold Air Society. My vision for joint relations this year will largely focus on the Air Force Association. The AFA plays a critical role in assisting the Air Force, especially with the challenges that the Air Force faces today. This year I plan on devoting much of my time in furthering the reach of the AFA by initiating recruiting efforts and awareness programs. It is our responsibility as AFA members get involved and assist the AFA in every capacity that we possibly can.
Our sister organization, Silver Wings, also play a critical role in furthering our mission and goals. I want to provide squadrons with the information and tools to start Silver Wings chapters at their universities, while also providing new ideas to spark better relations between already established squadrons and chapters. This information will also be included in the Squadron Development Guide. With a “joint” mindset, Arnold Air Society has twice the potential to make a difference in the world around us.
Communication
Communication is the foundation of our success in Arnold Air Society because it is involved in everything that we do. Not only do I plan on opening communication lines throughout the chain of command, but also expanding communication horizontally among AAS squadrons and SW chapters to further joint relations. In addition, the national staff will always be available for direct communication through our published office hours and by means of squadron and ARCON visits.
