Excellence through Communication
Public Affairs Officers must be masters of communication, and relaying information about a society nationally requires proficient skills with reporting, being able to talk to people, assertiveness, and being able to accomplish tasks in a timely manner. As the National Director of Public Affairs, I vow to maintain strong communication with my Area counterparts in order to receive all necessary information that will be compiled into the Arnold Air Letter, monthly newsletters, the Air Force Magazine, and other magazines and newsletters. I also vow to submit professional articles which recognize individual Squadron and Area achievements as well as articles which promote the missions of Arnold Air Society.
Spicing Up the Arnold Air Letter
The Arnold Air Letter this academic year will be aesthetically pleasing to the eye, I promise. Not only will the magazine cover important information from Air Force Major Commands and notes from our Chain of Command, but it will be geared toward promoting and spreading ideas about the JNP, social, fundraising, and community service events that are put on by Squadrons and Areas all over the nation. I plan on sending the Arnold Air Letter to not only Squadrons alone, but Air Force Bases, our Chain of Command, and the Air Force Association. I believe in “giving credit where credit is due”, so Squadrons and Areas that excel in any facet of Arnold Air Society will be given a deserving article in our national newsletter. Above all, I urge each and every Public Affairs Officer, Squadron or Area level, to send in competitive articles and pictures to be compiled into the Arnold Air Letter! This society has some outstanding individuals, Squadrons, and Areas, and I would love nothing more than to show all the hard work and dedication in our professional, interesting national news document.
More Articles in More Places
To add onto getting Squadron and Area recognition, I plan on writing monthly newsletters which will be compilations of articles from around the nation as well as notifications from your National Staff and other national entities. The monthly newsletters will be posted on the national website. I also plan on getting articles out to the Active Duty Air Force by sending media to Air Force bases around the world to inform them on the contributions of Arnold Air Society, the professionalism our society exudes, and the enthusiasm our members have when it comes to serving our country. We have the ability to get these articles out that YOU write! Let’s let the world know what Arnold Air Society is truly about!
