All updates requested/submitted by SW National Development Officer and updated by National Webmaster.
The AAS Forms 1 and 3 as well as SW Forms 1 and 3 have been updated. They are the Equipment and Manual Order Forms and Reports of New Membership/Initiations.
Make sure you destroy all previous versions of the forms and print off the new forms to use when reporting new membership or ordering new equipment. The prices on various items have changed, and shipping and handling costs have been altered.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: You will NOT receive your items if you do not use the new forms available on the website.
You will find the forms by clicking the “Forms” link under the “Library” link above.
The Silver Wings National Staff page has been updated. The contact information for all National Staff members is available on the National Staff page itself. The individual staff pages include their biographies and their platforms for the upcoming year. You can find their pages under Leaders and SW National Staff above.
The Alumni Association of Arnold Air, Angel Flight, and Silver Wings (JAA) now has it’s own official website. You can visit it at www.aasswjaa.org
We look forward to keeping it constantly updated.
The entire AAS National Staff pages have been updated to the 2008-2009 staff. It has all of their contact information, biographies, and platforms included on each of their individual pages. Find them under the Leaders tab above on the AAS National Staff link.
While it may not be immediately apparent to you, the AAS-SW website is undergoing a pretty significant update “behind the scenes.” While this is on-going, you may notice a few bumps and bruises on the site as we get some of our more custom code up to snuff, and get all of the appropriate information updated to reflect the various new headquarters and leaders who will be in charge for the coming year.
One of the biggest changes you may notice — if you had previously registered for our site, your account has been deleted. This was necessary because our user database had been polluted with lots of junk email addresses. If you re-register, you’ll notice some of the new measures we’re taking to prevent that as we go forward.
In the coming months, you should see some additional changes that will hopefully make this site more useful and fun for our core audience of active and alumni members of AAS and SW. Thanks in advance for your patience!

The Air Force Association will be holding their annual Air & Space Conference and Technology Exposition from in September 2008. The Conference will be held in Washington, D.C.

Silver Wings National President is pleased to announce the February Member of the Month. Congratulations to Marianna Prather from Mississippi State University for her hard work and dedication.
The Silver Wings Vision 2012 has been added to the useful documents on the website. It explains the many Objectives and Goals for SW over the next five years and ways to measure the success of achieving these goals. It should be reviewed by all National, Regional, and Chapter Presidents.
Also included in the useful documents is the SW REP (Region President: fomerly known as REO) Handbook, a very important document for those that want to run for Region President. It includes a lot of helpful tips for scheduling, continuity, NATCON, etc.
